Bloomsburg Field Hockey Downs Catawba, 11-1

BLOOMSBURG- Samantha Kropa (Tunkhannock/Lackawanna Trail) scored three goals to lead the Bloomsburg University field hockey team to a 11-1 win over Catawba College on Sunday afternoon.
Four other Huskies scored two goals each in the victory over the Indians: Chelsea Due (Pen Argyl/Pen Argyl), Amanda Rily (Tannersville/Pocono Mountain East), Erin Hench (Loysville/West Perry), and Maggey Bloskey (Danville, Danville).
The Huskies opened the first half with a goal by Due 3:10 into the game. Kropa then added her first goal of the game assisted by Jamie Vanartsdalen (Huntington Valley/Lower Moreland) less than two minutes later. The Indians answered back with a goal by Susan Hearn (Charlotte, NC/ W.Forsyth). The Huskies would go on to score four more goals in the half.
Due opened play in the second half with her second goal of the game. The Huskies would go on to score four more goals in the half, with Riley adding a goal with only 12 seconds left to play.
The Bloomsburg defense only allowed the Indians two shots on goal the entire game.
The Huskies now 14-1 on the season will play at Millersville on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
